When Cass begins to hear voices while backpacking with her husband Gav through former Yugoslavia, she attributes it to travel stress and cracks appearing in her new marriage. However, when the couple embarks on an unplanned sight seeing expedition with a mysterious local named Saint Peter, Cass quickly suspects that his promises to give them an “authentic” tour of his homeland conceal a much darker purpose. When Gav goes missing, Cass soon finds herself dragged into an increasingly paranoid web of manipulation and murder from which even death offers no escape.

I can give this some credit for trying to build an aesthetic of the Giallo’s that it’s obviously modeled after and also it’s obvious modern inspirations such as CABIN FEVER, A SERBIAN FILM and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE The film seems especially throughout homage to the latter where we have a couple in a foreign land, who want to see the sights and trust the mysterious Stranger, who’s jovial a nice at first, but seems to slowly turn, and they don’t seem to pick up on the signals that somethings strange as a foot

As the film is definitely a two-parter, where the first half is more mysterious, and the second half Kisco’s balls to the wall off its hinges where it becomes more violent and everything is explained. Though the film stays atmospheric.

The filmmaking is fun and creative. The problem is that while wanting appreciate that it’s not as violent or Gore fest, as it seems to be where it was going it also seems to lack a certain sense.as theoughout the film. It begins to be filled with psychedelic images and different film stocks. Which help give it a true grindhouse feel

here’s what I mean is is that lol it’s perfectly fine and never quite seems to go the places. It either seems headed or quite instill, fear or tension as much as it seems to want to. It always seems to be good enough yet fall short it doesn’t amaze, nor does it have to do but it always just seems to rise to a certain temperature and then go back that I never met maintaining what is the kid

No, it seems like the filmmaker has to know how to do so even though it would be over the top for Sam it just feels like in a strange way. They are holding themselves back unless it was just cut to be that way.

I can’t even say that it’s a perfectly good background movie because it’s something you have to pay attention to to fully understand everything as much as you can.

It just seems like the lead of the husband he is seems to have victim written all over him, especially his nerdish demeanor, which he seem to go overboard on, and his way to trusting nature, though Bruno Veljanovski At Saint Peter and Emily Sweet  Are both noteworthy in the cast, especially at they are pretty much the

Leads

DASHCAM (2021)

Directed By: Rob Savage

Written By: Rob Savage, Gemma Hurley and Jed Shepherd

Editor: Brenda Rangott

Cast: Annie Hardy, Amer Chadha-Patel, Angela Enahoro, Seylan Baxter, Mogali Masuku, Caroline Ward, Jemma Moore

Viewed through her livestream, abrasive musician Annie Hardy’s night takes a dangerous turn after she agrees to help transport a frail elderly woman out of town. Annie and her friend Stretch embark on a horror-fueled road trip and livestream the most terrifying night of their lives.

————————————————————————-

Writer/director Rob Savage’s follow-up to his hit film HOST. That was quite a bit, due amongst other things to being made during the pandemic and how believable the effects were.

The enjoyment of the film will depend on how much or how long you can stand the lead character.  as she is very unpleasant and her behavior at times only seems to make things worse as she continuously makes bad decisions.

She will split the audience for this film

You do have to send through a third of the film with her as an introduction before any of the supernatural or horror elements take place.

The film does work at being creepy and scary most of the time. As we spend most of the film

The main character. The audience will be happy any time another character shows up and interacts and partially takes over the narrative.

She stays a jerk even in the worst of times always saying the wrong thing. It seems like the film wants you to root against her. She makes it political to go with the time that the film was made and released.

So you wonder if this is a commentary on people with this kind of political worldview at what seems like an apocalypse. This is a particular character.

As the film is well put together and has great direction that kind of pays off if you stick with it as it gives a commentary on social media or presentations of craft and character and story.

Though it’s weakness is that while nothing is ever totally explained everything seems like it’s happening instead of offering even a general explanation

As it is filmed in first person. You not only feel like you are a character in the film taken in for a ride. But also get a running commentary from the characters and comments on the side at times. The film feels like a hard journal.

It even sticks to the cliché of characters of color, not making it to the very end.

There are some moments where you feel like not again. Yes, it gets crazier as it goes along and her strange phrases and times of trouble and terror only helped to make it feel a little more different and strange

The film might’ve been a better shot as at times it feels like the premise is a bit stretched out even at under 90 minutes, so it almost feels like an extended V/H/S anthology story made into a feature.

By the end, it feels like an interesting experiment, though not sure if it makes the audience care one way or another the end

28 YEARS LATER (2025)

Directed By: Danny Boyle

Written By: Alex Garland

Cinematography: Anthony Dod Mantle

Editor: Jon Harris

Cast: Aaron Taylor Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Edvin Ryding, Jack O’Connell, Chi Lewis Parry, Amy Cameron, Christopher Fulford

It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.

This is a  Long waited, sequel from the filmmakers who made the first and original 28 days later. Come back to offer another original slice for the franchise even after sitting out the previous sequel 28 WEEKS LATER.

Well, with this film, they up the ante, actually filming it with an iPhone, but not in the way you think not an actual cell phone but the same technology and rigged up.

while it does tell its own tale that is connected to the franchise, that might be part of the problem with the film as the film works like a Marvel movie where it should be a standalone that offers the promise of sequels or expanding the world of the 28 later franchise by the end of the film after it tells its tail it just feels like a part one of a way bigger saga so that it comes across is more episodic than a standalone which can work, but it drags the quality of the film down as everything that you’ve seen before you know is going to lead to something else but it’s not quite its own tale or its own film.

It also doesn’t help that the film isn’t really a horror film in the traditional sense. It’s more a post apocalyptic tale and family drama more than anything else.

As it seems like the two sequels after this will be handled by different directors so it’s almost like a tag team effort like this is director Danny Boyle coming back to start it off, and then he passes the baton to the next person who then continues the story from what we’ve previously seen and tells it in their own way, and then finally the next film is held by somebody different. Who then will tell the 28 later tales in their own way, but give it an ending for now as far as we know

Though let’s focus on what this film does again it sets up the rules of this world and it’s been 28 years since it has been out there. How people have survived what the culture has been and certain territories and what it seems like the rest of the world is doing or handling the situation.

From the opening scene, this film shows that it has no sacred cows and it’s slaughter and violence so that not even children or holy people are safe. Everyone is treated the same.

The film focuses on a young boy and his family him, and his father are hunters who go to the mainland to hunt and look for any kind of supplies to hopefully bring back . Though when the young boy whose mother is suffering from a disease as there are no doctors here that there might be a doctor out there in the wild is willing to take the risk to escape with his mother to the infected lands to try and find this doctor, so hopefully diagnose and care of her so that the rest of the film is pretty much an Odyssey.

It’s also a family tale so that at times it’s its own demented fairytale that has a very demented backstory, but could be folklore also

You’re enjoyment of this film will really retested by how much you can stand this child whether you think he is making the worse and stupidest decisions or you will be able to have empathy and understand why he would risk all of this for his mother

The film is not going, please everyone and seems to have divided audiences who either seem to have wanted more of the same of the previous films or wanted something a little better structured story wise as the visuals and direction are definitely tight but the story for some might be a little too light or feels like it’s filling the blanks

though in these days and times it’s harder and harder to make an original zombie tale when there’s already so many zombie films out there plus you have The Walking Dead television show telling tales of zombies, even if this is the franchise that helped start the trend of fast or normal speed, running zombies.

The film also has things or seems that you never would have expected on screen such as a pregnant zombie giving birth, which one hadn’t really seen since the remake of day of the dead. The film does depict the zombies with full frontal, nudity, male and female.

The actors are all good in their roles, even if not given too much to do or more playing a bit more cliche roles. As Jody Comer is the costar of the film, and even though she’s in more than half of the movie, I still wish they had given her more to do or she had more to play refines as always steals his scene in his supporting role, as well as Aaron Taylor, Johnson showing his compassion as a father, but also showing that he can do action fiercely.

The film works, as it is a tail that is set in a larger universe that has been built slowly, but surely the story might not be as strong as some people would’ve liked nor as action oriented or violent as maybe some had hoped, but I will give the film credit for trying something unexpected whether it succeeded or not is up to the individual audience member, but I enjoyed myself watching the film

The soundtrack is very good by the group young fathers who I am also a fan of him was surprised to find out they did the soundtrack for which is excellent.

it’s an adequate attempt and a good return to the franchise for Danny Boyle and Ryder Alex Garland one just wishes the film felt a little bit stronger and into more of the hints that it feels like will be revealed in further films but are introduced here that keep your imagination open but doesn’t do this to any favors of adding anything to itself.

This is like seeing the sketch before you see the finish painting that is how I would compare this film.

FEAR STREET: PROM QUEEN (2025)

Directed By: Matt Palmer

Written By: Matt Palmer and Donald McLeary

Based on the FEAR STREET Books By: R.L. Stine

Cinematography: Mark Gyori

Editor: Christopher Donaldson

Cast: India Fowler, Fina Strazza, Suzanna Son, Katherine Waterston, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor, Chris Klein, Ella Rubin, David Iancono, Rebecca Ablack

Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.

What hurts this film is that when it’s compared to the first FEAR STREET set of movies which were a trilogy they were so richly connected and had so much deaths even for their familiar elements they want you over.

Watching this film is a disappointment as everything is lowered especially in quality now. Don’t know if it’s supposed to somehow be connected to the other three films movie take place in the same town or just be part of that franchise a FEAR STREET, but this is very disappointing.

As this film plays more like a basic Netflix, nostalgic, horror film, it doesn’t even need to really be part of the fear Street franchise.

As it makes the same mistakes that those other Netflix films make where they try to get into the decade that it’s setting in this case, the 80s in the fashion in pop culture that the story soon Almost takes a backseat.

It also doesn’t help that all or most of the female main characters looks similar. so that at times it’s really hard to tell them apart other than maybe sometimes when part of their personality or role, Well help the audience Remember who they’re supposed to be, that would least all of the teenage characters look age-appropriate

If you’ve ever seen a horror found this film is pretty predictable when it comes to its kill scenes, and as always, the murder scenes at times seem to be the only action, or the only noteworthy parts of the film, even though some kills remain off screens, though this film does love the show or have a lingering shots of people getting their packages, cut off and watching bloodsport from it

The film does have a good soundtrack, but it has one of the worst dance battle scenes I’ve ever seen in a film that is supposed to be kind of heroic in its own way.

While watching this film, it’s obviously inspired by other better and popular horror films of its lineage so that it feels familiar and it would be worth it if there was some kind of value or reason behind it all, but this film just feels so desperately to be on trend that things seem the more happen just because.

Making the film feel less than significant. There’s nothing special about it. It’s rather bland wear other than the violence. This could’ve easily been a PG-13 movie. The film barely has any momentum

Now again, I didn’t read the source material, but the film feels undercooked and predictable and then tries to go gonzo and it’s 30 even though by halfway into this movie, you will figure it out pretty much who’s behind the killings no idea and loves to present tired, red herrings throughout like the grizzled old janitor, who is a drunken likes to stare at all the girls.

Then one of the biggest names or teenage stars in your cast, and you give her such a minor role, and she’s almost one of the first people to be eliminated from the movie Ariana Greenblatt no she seem to have the most interesting character.

Then the movie Try to build its main character up so much that it feels like it’s a portrait or a character story without much death and it doesn’t help that I mean she’s already ridiculed around town but yet she has no negative aspects to her character. Nothing risky so like the film she’s kind of boring the only thing that saves The film is that short.

As even when it comes to the original trilogy any of those film separately as a single film is still better than this one.

This might work as a starter horror, film for some, or an introductory for people who are not used to the horror genre, but other than that this is just basic and bland with no sauce or seasoning.

GRAFTED (2024)

Cinematography: Tammy Williams

Editor: Fauze Hassen

Cast: Joyena Sun, Jess Hong, Eden Hart, Sepi Toa, Jared Turner, Gideon Smith, Xiao Hu, Mark Mitchinson

A bright but socially awkward exchange student takes her craving for popularity to horrifying heights.

————————————————————————

This is a revenge tale as well as a science fiction tale with a bit of body Horror thrown in.

The film Feels cruel yet sensitive as while most of the characters are cruel. Only one of them truly deserves what happens to them.

Not to mention you generally have symoathy for the main character throughout. So much so that even some of the kills that occur. You might find yourself thinking of a defense for her.

Other Then that story wise, it’s pretty basic with an original ending that seems to match the cruelty of the rest of the film.

Leaving it is a kind of tales from the crypt twists. It pulls you in with its underdog tale and stays inventive while giving the various actresses not only more screen time to shine, but allows them to show range.

A fun ride on a punishing road.

PUSSYCAKE (2021)

Directed By: Pablo Pares

Written By: Maxi Ferzzola

Story By: Pablo Pares, Hernan Saez and Hernan Moyano

Cinematography: Matias Rispau

Editor: Leonardo Vitullo

Cast: Maca Suarez, Aldana Ruberto, Sofia Rossi, Anahi Politi, Flor Moreno, Rodrigo Ferreyra, Amanda Nara, Diego Prinz

A struggling all-girl rock band kicks off a new tour, hoping to rekindle their popularity. Things are off to a bad start, however, when they show up to their first gig to find the town deserted. After they catch the attention of horrors from beyond our reality, the band realizes that being forgotten by their fans is the least of their problems.

——————————————

Don’t let the title fool you as It’s the name of the all female band who make up the leads of this film, but just like the name ItMs

Meant to provoke but is pretty basic. Similarly this film wants you to believe it will be provocative and ends up not really being that but offers an appearance of it.

An annoying part of horror films is that when strange things happen the characters act like they have never seen a horror film or that the genre doesn’t exist

Which is why they always think there is some explanation that will solve everything and while no one. Is asking for them to be experts as this is there reality. It would be nice that horror be acknowledged as existing and either mroe questioning or realization that this is

ore out of the ordinary

I wanted to like this film as it has plenty of splatter, gore and other disgusting visuals and qualities (not that is what I look for in my horror movies) but the film is disappointing

As it offers very little to find interest in and comes across as a typical otherworldly zombie film with less action, yet very colorful. That offers plenty of gore and would be considered nasty because of it.

For all the color and wildness the rock band aspect should add to the film. It stays rather tame and uneventful. Especially when there seems to be a scene to highlight them doing drugs.

Yet there is never really too many scenes that might make any of the characters feel like this might all be some kind of hallucination due to its

Less original than expected. Where you wish there was more action.

Didn’t filmmakers expect to get by on effects and shock? It comes across as very 1999’s or even early 2000’s

It feels like a better funded foreign Trom studios film only without any real exploitation other than the title. With a little evil dead thrown in, but mainly a science fiction course in horror 102. It tries to offer some original science fiction fantasy elements. Though doesn’t necessarily save it or make the audience garner more interest.

Though while it is obviously B-Movie material with a d grade production other than special effects. This is defitnely the type that would have gone straight to home video in the past. Yet offers none of the guilty pleasures of those productions.

In the end you really Don’t care too much because you barely know the characters except one who exclusively has flashbacks to what keep her going

A film that doesn’t really feel like it needed to be made. As you wonder what it really has to offer or what story it has to tell. As it offers nothing different so it just feels like an unoriginal copy. It’s a movie of filler and not even a satisfying popcorn flick

C.H.U.D. II: BUD THE CHUD (1989)

Directed By: David Irving

Written By: Ed Naha

Cinematography: Arnie Sirlin

Editor: Barbara Pokras

Cast: Gerrit Graham, Brian Robbins, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Robert Vaughn, Norman Fell, Jack Riley, Bill Calvert, Larry Linville, Sandra Kerns, June Lockhart, Rich Hall, Bianca Jagger, Larry Cedar

A couple of teenagers break into a secret government science lab and steal a frozen corpse for a high school prank and accidentally awaken the corpse which turns out to be a CHUD named Bud, who goes on a killing spree and making his victims also cannibalistic CHUD’s and its up to the teens to stop him.

————————————————————————

The film as strange as it’s rated R, but there is nothing that bad, except for the implied violence in a little blood, but really as it’s so comedic and camp he could easily be more for kids as a starter, horror, film, or at least young teens, as there is nothing really that objectionable in the film

This song is one of those hidden in plain sight as this hits the right spot and happy to discover it late to truly appreciate it rather than just dismiss it as a product of the time which I’m sure many did. Now can watch it as a time capsule as they don’t make them even close to like this anymore.

The film is not scaring the least, as it goes more for comedy, which might have upset many fans of the original Chud film as this is nothing like the original, The film doesn’t even follow in the creature designs of the first  CHUD film instead this is a straight-up undead or zombie film. Should know that it’s an in name sequel. Which should have known by its subtitle of blood the Chad

The only way it’s Really connected to the original Is serving as a monster movie of sorts when an actuality, this was originally written to be a sequel to RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, and stay in that realm of comedy-Horror.

The film has a cast recognizable character actors in various roles. That feels like they are more guest starring. As The film feels like one of those TV movies from the 1980s at usually start actors on the network shows of the past and of the current shows that they had on and just like them. This is more of a teen film.

actor Garrett Graham is kind of the star of the film here as he plays Bud, the Chad, and truly steals the show and saves the phone. He showcases his talents that people slept on in various other roles in different movies. Here he does it all, though it’s more a physical comedic performance, especially his facial expressions. As the character doesn’t really talk.

Actress, Tricia Leigh Fisher Costars in this film and she’s an actress that one is always a fan of, but seems to have done so few films and television that when you do see her on screen, you can’t help but put a smile on your face as she has the talent and looks to do so much more in the film industry. And she comes across as a bombshell with a middle town, America appeal, and who can actually act

This isn’t a good film, but it’s a fun film of chess for Gerritt Graham’sphysical performance above all else. Especially, How he goes from awkward zombie to a more suave Casanova look.  not to mention seeing the cast of recognizable actors, feels a bit heartwarming. No, it stays comedic throughout.

It ends up feeling So bad it’s good but seems to be designed that way so it’s not bad Chessmore silly plus the film has the creepiest cameo by Robert England.

The humor of the film make it makes it feel like it’s a film full of dad jokes. Which one can appreciate this film for because it seems more and more these days like all her films even if they’re comedic, they’re more focused on exploitation of nudity and violence and can’t just be in the genre of horror and be fun and kind of clean.

Even if not scary, the film does offer good practical effects and make up FX, which seems to be a kind of a lost cause or getting diminishing returns these days

The film was filmed in 1987, but wasn’t released until 1989 the Director even made three cuts one emphasizing her, the other more emphasizing comedy in the third Edited to play on television one wonders if the cut we see now

Is the purely comedic one and the television one has one can only imagine what the scary version looks like. Even though this film seems . more made for television, and the humor seems more for a juvenile crowd.

HEART EYES (2025)

Directed By: Josh Ruben

Written By: Philip Murphy, Christopher Landon and Michael Kennedy

Cinematography: Stephen Murphy

Editor: Brett W. Bachman

Cast: Mason Gooding, Olivia Holt, Jordana Brewster, Devon Sawa, Gigi Zumbado, Michela Watkins, Yoson An, Ben Black, Chris Parker,

For the past several years, the “Heart Eyes Killer” has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe.

————————————————————————

This is a film that plays more like a romantic comedy that builds itself around a horror, film plot. It’s cute. It’s violin. It sometimes has a laugh or two and both sides with each other and against against each other.

Whereas I wish you could be more like happy death day, which did have a comedy side and a horror side, but it also seemed to have its serious moments too. That made you care a little bit more.

This film lacks that so that again the characters always feel exactly like that like characters rather than human beings, and why you worry about them in their peril the film, cynical, nature, almost every other character works against it as it seeks to be a dark comedy that reels a little bit more in violence

If that is what you are seeking, you have found the perfect film for yourself and I will admit it stays entertaining through 90 minutes though after a while, it does becoming a bit predictable, though I will give it points for originality with ending to a certain extent

No, again like a romantic comedy unfortunately the two leads who we follow are somewhat interesting, but not enough to hold your attention throughout the whole film where you really start to bond with them

In fact, as a film where again some of the more supporting characters are way more interesting, and you had more screen time, but then it would probably require them to be either pulled into the plot story more killed. The audience would definitely want revenge on the slasher.

I’m thinking, especially the best friend played by Gigi Zumbado, who the film could’ve benefited with her character being featured more or hell even being the lead character if they make a sequel to this film hopefully she will get that lead role

The film is enjoyable in a disposable way where your entertained while you watch it, but can’t see many watches and some of the scenes. Remind you so much of other horror films that either is paying two or based around.

In fact, the only scene to me that was the most far would be that all these people are watching one of my favorite movies his girl Friday at a drive-in, even if it is Valentine’s Day.

It’s nice to see Jordana Brewster in any role that is not associated with the FAST & FURIOUS franchise

Almost like rather than a comedy à la Simpsons episode where there’s a serial killer killing couples out and of course the city decides to still keep it Valentine’s Day celebrations going culminating and a driving and amusement park for lovers the slasher, a perfect opportunity of victims.

Not surprised that this film was also written, but some of the writers of the film’s FREAKY and IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE as well as TIME CUT. As this film has a similar feel. Where the concept is pushed more than anything else. Just as being directed by Josh Ruben who made WEREWOLVES WITHIN a mystery that seemed more to push the comedic elements more than the horror or mystery ones.

Again, I don’t wanna make this film seem worse than it is as it does seem to be having a lot of fun and is made more for an audience. It’s just not a sharp as it seems to aim to be like fast food good in the moment, but overall not the best for you Nor noteworthy

THE WOLFMAN (1941)

Directed By: George Waggner

Written By: Curt Siodmak

Cinematography: Joseph Valentine

Editor: Ted Kent

Cast: Lon Chaney Jr., Claude Rains, Bela Lugosi, Ralph Bellamy, Evelyn Ankers, Warren William, Patric Knowles, Maria Ousperskaya, Fay Helm

Upon his return to his father’s estate, aristocrat Larry Talbot meets a beautiful woman, attends a mystical carnival and uncovers a horrifying curse.

this is one of the first films to have a werewolf at the center of its floor, and you have to give it respect as the film is well made with a legendary cast

Unfortunately, even at only 70 minutes, it gets right to the point and manages to tell a story though it just doesn’t feel that strong

I thought this was the first time I ever seen this film, but checking my files. I realized I had seen this film only a few years before, and it completely slipped my mind.

so for me, this film is memorable. It might be a case of. I was born later and have seen many werewolf movies that use similar premise, but were more memorable. Only here we’re getting what the basics of all those other tales were and simplest form by the time and trying to tell, entertaining an emotional story

It’s not a bad film and can understand why it has its fans, but is a concert reminder that just because it’s first doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best but it pave the way for the others so you have to give it a certain amount of respect

But if you already know, you’re really not into black-and-white classic horror films. This might be one you wanna skip as it’s never quite a strong as Dracula or Frankenstein or the ultimate bride of Frankenstein.

and the film doesn’t present itself as some kind of the movie that was more made to fit a fad or rushed out with little care the film it’s requirements as far as entertaining the audience, but actually showcasing emotions and characters, owning up to their decisions and choices in certain moments

WOLF MAN (2025)

Directed By: Leigh Whannell

Written By: Leigh Whannell and Corbett Tuck

Cinematography: Stefan Duscio and Ruairi O’Brien

Editor: Andy Canny

Cast: Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, Matilda Firth, Sam Jaeger, Benedict Hardie, Ben Prendergast

A family at a remote farmhouse is attacked by an unseen animal, but as the night stretches on, the father begins to transform into something unrecognizable.

Pay atention to the title, because that’s pretty much what this movie seems to be about as it has its own reminiscence of the fly as we watch the lead character slowly transform into this Wolfman.

There are so many ways of looking at this movie. It has the Liriano kind of cold direction, but impressive style at times that at least is some thing you don’t expect.

Though this is more a traumatic thriller, so if you’re looking for a horror film, you’re gonna find yourself sadly disappointed as it does have those types of scenes, but for the most part seems to be more about this man’s slow transformation, and trying to protect his family, and then also slowly morphing into the problem himself

The film at times feels like it should be more hard-hitting, but there just seems to be something missing or just plays off bland. It also obviously is trying to push the female character to be more of the heroic force because she’s trying to be a nurture and at first it seems like she’s more a journalist, but when it comes to survival, she does what she hast to do to protect her daughter, her family even if she hast to face off against the man, she loves her husband.

His transformation can also be seen as him try, actually having to face his trauma from his rough childhood with what seems to be an uncaring father that he has obviously Buried, but still has that anger while trying to be the good guy, decent husband, and good father he doesn’t want his family to have to deal with the same types of things that he did.

So eventually, unfortunately, it becomes like an incredible hulk situation, where he can’t help this other side of him coming out or really transforming him totally.

As what the film does have going forward, is if the few scenes of style and prosthetic special effects. While the film does have violence, it’s also a secluded thriller where there aren’t that many victims so not so much useless bloodshed almost like Cujoh more of trying to survive the night and the ordeal, which also makes it feel a little bit more like most of the film takes place in real time

The Hulk analogy also works for this phone because it seems like it’s very hard for Hollywood to truly come up with a good or great werewolf movie and they’re either barely passable usually just OK or just bad or disappointing, whereas every other famous creature seems to have more than a few defining films to the repertoire.

The film isn’t bad it just is that you go in, expecting one thing and coming out with another and even the other that it is is pretty plain and bland, feeling more melodramatic with supernatural horror and thriller elements.

Which is a shame, because with the invisible Man, leave, Wagner came up with a film that felt inventive, but then again, he also had more room to work with as THE INVISIBLE MAN, while a memorable character isn’t as popular isn’t ball down by as many rules and lower, so you can kind of create an ad more than you can with well established, vampire, zombies, or where wolves

At least I can say that the film is Earnest in it’s

depictions of werewolves as it tries to create, but it seems like it’s problem was It wants

to dip itself a little in the fantasy, but also be somewhat grounded in reality-based as well as offering some scientific explanations, and while they work well enough off of each other, they don’t create a satisfying formula completely.

No, maybe the focus was too much on the transformation giving it a sort of THE FLY comparisons only not as focused on the Body Horror
